{Best of} 2009 Bride+Groom/Bridal Party

Here it is, the grand finale of my favorite photo recap of 2009! This being the Bride and Groom/Bridal Party category. I did not sequence them in any particular order. I’m really proud of this collection of shots. And of course a HUGE, GINORMOUS THANK YOU to all of my 2009 couples, without whom these photographs would not exist. It was an unbelievable year, and I am just SO honored to have been entrusted to capture your special days! I’m really looking forward to 2010 to be another stellar year for Laffler Photography. Thanks everyone!

Next up we have the fourth installment of my favorite photos of 2009, this being the reception category. I have not posted them in order of my favorites, but instead I tried to group similar shots together, so hopefully you will see the connection between photos. I had fun putting this together, and stay tuned for the last installment, the Bride and Groom/Bridal Party photos! Thanks for looking.

Rina + Jason

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Rina and Jason’s wedding the other day. What a great way to kick off the new season with an uber awesome couple and a very intimate wedding with their family and a few close friends. Rina and Jason got married at City Hall in New York City, which was a first for me! Honestly, I was actually surprised at how nice it was! After a lightning fast ceremony we took some time photographing around the City Hall area. I wasn’t really used to being surrounded by such a large police presence. Although, I was happy to only have been asked to “move along” once! Then it was on over to Locanda Verde restaurant in Tribeca for a wonderful lunch. I had such a great time hanging out with you guys today, thank you for having me along! Congratulations, and enjoy that “sleeping honeymoon”!

Since I didn’t go to Rina’s prep location, I grabbed the next few shots of her at all different times throughout the day.

Because Rina and Jason were running late, I was able to meet the family and grab some candids while we all waited together.

I love this shot of Rina’s 2 nieces.

This was hands down the fastest ceremony I have ever photographed. It lasted 2 minutes…LITERALLY!

They have this cheesy “photo op” wall where I guess couple’s can get their token photo taken standing in front of city hall, or I should say in front of a poster of city hall. So, we just decided to have a little fun with it!

Rina’s niece was SOOOO excited to throw rose petals at them as they came out!

I had a sneaky suspicion there were no humans at the Department of Justice!

Rina’s brother Ray gave a great toast.

I think fake mustaches should be mandatory at all weddings from now on!

I love this shot with both their moms looking on.

After the lunch we went back out for just a few more photos.

Rina + Jason Spoiler!

I just shot Rina and Jason’s wedding this afternoon and had to share this shot with you all. They got married down at City Hall in NYC, and inside they have this cheesy “photo op” wall where I guess couple’s can get their token photo in front of city hall, or I should say in front of a poster of city hall. So, we just decided to have a little fun with it! I’m not usually a big fan of jumping shots, but this one had a specific purpose. To complete the “illusion” I wanted to get their feet off the carpet, where the poster met the floor. This solved that problem nicely and I just think this is hilarious!!! Stay tuned for the full blog post.
