Roy + Peter

Roy and Peter’s wedding was so much fun to be a part of. They booked me last year after a friend of a friend of a friend was at my house for a baby shower and was admiring some of my photographs on the wall, and told Roy and Peter about me. I’ve been looking forward to photographing their wedding ever since. My friend Walter Van Dusen drove down from Connecticut to help out being the second photographer. There are a few of his images below where noted. The ceremony and the reception were held at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange, NJ. Have fun being tourists in New York City guys!

I found this brochure in the lobby of the hotel that the guys were getting ready at. I thought it made a nice backdrop for their rings.

Please don’t try to adjust the color on your monitors, Emily’s eyes really are this blue!
I don’t normally post two ring shots, but come on, look how freaking cool these rings are! They have their wedding date in Roman numerals on them.

Can you feel the enthusiasm!

Mae

Today I got to meet Mae, along with her mom and dad in Jersey City. When I arrived Mae was still resting up for her big photo shoot! The second she woke up she was all smiles for me and my camera. We had a great time playing at the park and then chilling back at her crib. Thanks for a great day guys!

I love this one of the whole family sitting on their stoop.

Mae loved playing with these measuring spoons!

Off to the park.

Love this one with mom and dad in the background.

Mae loved being tossed around.

After Mae’s snack we found this caterpillar on her arm!

Janhavi + Chirag

So, if you read my previous entry about my surprise trip to Saint John, you know where I am at the moment. Anyway, on the boat ride over from Saint Thomas to Saint John, we met a really nice Indian couple who were just starting their honeymoon. They had traveled 26 hours from India to get to Saint John! I decided quickly that with this great location, and this great couple, I couldn’t pass up snapping a few photos of them at Caneel Bay Resort. I met up with them after breakfast one morning to take some shots for about an hour or so. Congratulations guys and enjoy the rest of your whirl wind honeymoon, which will also include an Alaskan cruise, Las Vegas, New York, Disney, and maybe more, I couldn’t remember it all! Enjoy!

This was taken in the old Sugar Mill which is on the property of Caneel Bay.

Saint John

My wife surprised me with a little get away for our 10th year wedding anniversary! We are staying at Caneel Bay in Saint John. This is truly an awesome resort. The location, service, and food are all top notch. We decided to take our daughter Zoe with us and we are glad we did, we are all having so much fun together. The water is AMAZING! Most of our days are spent snorkeling and kayaking and sipping pina colada’s in the turquoise water. Thank you honey, you ROCK!

Here’s a shot I took from our room.

Zoe is loving vacation!

They have these wild donkeys roaming around the resort.

Ok, back to the vivid colors!

Lauren + Jason

Well, another great wedding today! I feel like a broken record saying that, but it’s true! Do you guys even remember records? And wasn’t it the record player, not the record that was broken? Someone stop me. All records aside, Lauren and Jason had a beautiful wedding today! Everything went so smoothly too, maybe somewhat due to Lauren’s type A personality, I don’t know, I’m just saying! Actually, I only learned of this through Lauren’s sister’s speech at the reception. I thought Lauren was very relaxed and easy going the entire day. Not that type A personalities are uptight and hard to deal with, I’ll just stop there before I get myself into trouble! Congratulations guys and enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii! Their reception was held at the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank NJ.

I met up with Lauren and her bridesmaids at the Jonathan Salon in Red Bank for a few photos
I couldn’t decide which one I liked better….
…so I’m posting both!
How cute are they!?

After the ceremony, we headed over to Riverside Gardens Park for some photos.
We took this one later on at dusk.
Lauren and Jason’s first dance together.
And Lauren’s first dance with her father.
One of my favorites of the day.

Agnes + Warren

I could easily describe today in just one word, and only using three letters…WOW! I met up with Agnes and Warren at Washington Square Park today to do their engagement session. They picked the New York University area because that is where they both went to college and also first met one another. Agnes is actually finishing up her MBA there next year…go Agnes! They are such an awesome couple, and I sincerely had a blast photographing and just hanging out with them. Folks, the following photos are the result of having a bulletproof equation : Awesome couple + great location + plenty of time + good light + my camera = stunning photos! Enjoy! Oh, and be sure to check out the slide show I made at the bottom of this entry too!

This is one of my favorites of the day.

I can not tell a lie, the original shot had the letters “N R W” in the yellow circles, but I wasn’t satisfied with that, so I changed them to “W & A” Warren & Agnes!

Warren spots Agnes walking towards him…

…gets her to sit down and chat with him…

…and the next thing you know, he’s giving her piggy back rides!

Warren, in front of “his” building!

I’m so mean, Agnes was about to pass out from starvation, so we were heading to the local pizza place when I spotted this sliver of sunlight. I just had to get this shot. Don’t worry, Agnes is just fine!

Nancy + Michael

Today’s wedding was a real joy to be a part of. I headed out to West Milford to photograph Nancy and her family/bridesmaids at her parents house. We did manage to get some photos outside despite mother nature’s attempt to stop us. It rained, it stopped, it rained, then stopped again, then rained…you get the idea! I had a lot of fun photographing all the kids that were attending the wedding too, they were so cute! The reception was held at the Bownstone in Patterson NJ. Congratulations Nancy and Michael, enjoy your honeymoon!

One of my favorites of the day, the double room/mirror shot!

Nancy and her daughter Hannah

A little rain for you.

They were cracking up at…

…her! She was a dancing machine!

Hannah dancing with Michael. It was really cute, and…

…it ended with a heartfelt hug!

This was too funny!
