Deanna + Robert

When I got up this morning I thought for sure we were going to have to cancel Deanna and Rob’s engagement session due to rain. Luckily for us, the weather held out and we got our session in. I met up with Deanna and Rob at Wave Hill gardens in Bronx NY. They spent quite a bit of time here during their courtship and it was obviously a special place for them. Afterwards we headed over to where Deanna and Rob work, a local community center. This is also where they first met 4 years ago, when Deanna was interviewing for a position at the center. Isn’t that cute!? THanks for a fun day guys! I’m really excited about photographing your wedding this October. And thanks for the ice cream Rob, it really hit the spot!

Jessica + Jeff

I met up with Jessica and Jeff at Montclair State University today. They both went to college here, and that’s actually where they met one another. So, it was only fitting to have these two alums revisit the campus for their engagement session. Jessica and Jeff are such a fun couple, lots of laughter, and up for anything. I had a lot of fun today guys, thank you. I am really looking forward to photographing your wedding in October.

Michelle + David

What a gorgeous spring day we had today for Michelle and David’s wedding. I met up with Michelle and the ladies at the hotel for some photos when all of the sudden there was a knock on the door. Not unusual at all for a bridal suite, but when the door was opened we were met by a gentleman in a tuxedo with a large suitcase saying that he was here to photograph the wedding! He looked at me with my camera in hand, and then down at the paper in his hand with a rather confused look. He was in the right stadium, but the wrong seat! Oh well, these things happen I guess. After the hotel we headed over to Michelle’s dad’s house where we got some great shots. Michelle and Dave’s dog even got in on the act! After the ceremony we went to Spring Lake for some photos, and then hit the beach as well. I’d like to express a big thank you to the bridal party for being so cooperative and easy to work with too! The reception was held at The Mill at Spring Lake Heights. Michelle and Dave, congratulations, and have a pina colada for me by the ocean in Hawaii!

I really love this one. As I was taking the shot above I noticed Michelle’s grandmother looking on so lovingly towards Michelle and thought I had to work her into a photo too.

Baby Chase

This is a slightly odd entry due to the fact that after I picked out some photos to post from today’s shoot with Chase, I realized they were all in portrait (vertical) format. Strange huh? Anyway, this is my little buddy Chase. He’s the son of my good friends Nick and Laura. I photographed them at various stages of their pregnancy too (see second photo). And now here is Chase, growing up in leaps and bounds before my very eyes. Chase was so easy to photograph, he sat in one spot making faces at mom and dad for a while. Then we headed up to his crib….literally! Thanks for the fun today little guy.

Jesse Finver

Today was Jesse’s big day, 13 years in the making, his Bar Mitzvah. I could tell Jesse was just a little nervous before the ceremony, but you should have seen him cut loose on the dance floor! This was one fun Bar Mitzvah indeed. Sheri, Jesse’s mom, did an outstanding job with all the planning and details. It’s always a blast photographing energetic kids having fun. Congratulations Jesse! The reception was held at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange.

The theme of the Bar Mitzvah was World Cup Soccer. There were pennants in the center pieces with Jesse’s name on the end of them. There was a great view of New York City from the Highlawn Pavilion Ballroom.

Zoe + Nicky

Just a quick entry. Today, Nicky stopped by to play with my daughter Zoe. I had my camera out, so I snapped a few shots. They are SO cute together! Nicky came over wearing his cool Thomas the Tank Engine sweatshirt, and I think Zoe got a little jealous. So, she went up to her room and changed into her Thomas PJ’s.
