Otero Family Reunion

My neighbor, Diego, asked me to come photograph his family reunion held at Solar Dominho restuarant in Roselle Park. Diego’s brother Peter came in from LA and organized the whole thing in just 2 weeks. You would never know it by how successful the evening was! I had lots of fun photographing the 30 plus people who came. It was just great to witness the emotion coming from the family members, who haven’t gotten all together in quite some time. Diego and Peter, my hats off to you, awesome job!

Sara + Scott

I just finished making Sara and Scott’s slide show and decided to post it here so you can see a more in depth look at a wedding instead of the usual snipits that typically get blogged. Just click the Play button and enjoy the show! Oh, and a special thanks goes out to my second shooter Bob LoRusso for some of his images that appear in the show.

Dana + Matt

What an awesome engagement session we had today in Lambertville NJ! Dana and Matt got engaged at a restaurant there, so it was only fitting we did their engagement session in Lambertville too. We had some great light, an awesome town, and a gorgeous couple to work with, how could I go wrong? We even found a brass band playing Christmas music in a parking lot! I can not wait to photograph their wedding next year! Congratulations guys!

Lucy Bell

Lucy and I had an absolute blast playing around her house today. Lucy is one of my daughter Zoe’s favorite friends, and I can see why, she was so much fun to hang out with. Lucy made me some “food” in her new kitchen that she got for her 3rd birthday. mmm it was SO yummy! Then we had ourselves a jolly good tea party too. After that I got to see Lucy’s impression of Jimmy the Superfly Snuka as she lept off her bed on to her “oponent”,…dad! As if that wasn’t enough, I also got to see Lucy strut her awesome ballerina moves too! Thanks for hanging with me today Lucy, I had a great time. Oh, and Zoe says hello!

Isn’t Lucy’s new kitchen awesome!

David Solomon

Today I had the pleasure of photographing David’s Bar Mitzvah. A big day for him no doubt, so a little nerves were to be expected I suppose. So, I asked big brother Josh to impart some words of wisdom to him. Everything turned out great of course! The ceremony was held at Temple Emanu-El in Westfield, followed by the reception at the Satgehouse in Scotch Plains. The kids had the run of the tavern side of the restaurant with ping pong, air hockey, foosball, a magician and a bunch of other fun stuff! I felt like a kid again myself! Wait, I guess technically David is no longer a kid huh?! Congratulations David, welcome to manhood!

Zoe Jane Laffler

Yesterday my daughter Zoe asked me to take her photograph. For those of you that know me, you know this isn’t a simple task! I had to get out the light stands, umbrellas, flashes, camera, the backdrop (which Zoe calls a parachute), and everything else. After it took me about 20 minutes to set everything up, Zoe was no longer interested in having her picture taken! What do you expect from an almost 3 year old?! So, I begged and pleaded with her to sit for me for at least a few shots, after all it was HER idea! I may or may not have even offered an ice cream sundae with the works if she cooperated! Well, she did manage to sit for me for a few shots and I did like the way they turned out, so decided to post two of them to share with you.

I know I am biased, but isn’t she adorable?

Winter House

Well, it’s sort of a family tradition that the day after Thanksgiving we head up to my in-laws winter house in Pennsylvania for some quality family time and a little rest and relaxtion. This year we brought along my niece Arianna with us. My daughter Zoe and her cousin Arianna had a blast together. They even slept in the same room together! Arianna slept in the top bunk and of course little Zoe got the bottom bunk! We had so much fun eating Thanksgiving left overs, sitting by the fire and roasting chestnuts, watching movies, and of course feeding the deer too! We also had a great time by the lake.

Smoking is bad for you, everyone knows that! I guess no one bothered to tell Ray!
