Here it is, the grand finale of my favorite photo recap of 2009! This being the Bride and Groom/Bridal Party category. I did not sequence them in any particular order. I’m really proud of this collection of shots. And of course a HUGE, GINORMOUS THANK YOU to all of my 2009 couples, without whom these photographs would not exist. It was an unbelievable year, and I am just SO honored to have been entrusted to capture your special days! I’m really looking forward to 2010 to be another stellar year for Laffler Photography. I just saw Joe at Mystic 5, he’s great! I would say that a majority of these shots are available light only. Some have supplemental flash used behind the couple to rim light them, and there are a few that were lit just with flash, but not many.Next up we have the fourth installment of my favorite photos of 2009, this being the reception category. I have not posted them in order of my favorites, but instead I tried to group similar shots together, so hopefully you will see the connection between photos. Better late than never right!? At least it’s still January though! Anyway, I wanted to recap 2009 with some of my favorite photos throughout the past year. I’ve already posted the engagement sessions, and now it’s time to conquer the weddings. I will be posting the best of 2009 in several categories; Details, Prep, Bride+Groom and or Bridal Party, Ceremony, and Reception. First up is the details category. I love putting these “best of” posts together because it gives me a great opportunity to take a trip down memory lane and reminisce about all the great shoots I’ve been on this past year. But even more importantly, it allows me to really reflect on what it is I do for a living, which is preserving happy, loving memories for people through my creative eye. Last year’s best of was in the form of a slide show, and my initial plan for this year was to post a top 20 favorite photos from 209 list, but I have a really hard time narrowing down photos! So, because it’s my blog and there is no one to stop me, I am creating a top 20+ favorite photo list of 2009 engagement sessions. I don’t exactly know how many photos are here, but it’s more than 20! Also, I think if I were to make this list a week ago, or even a week from now it could be fairly different. Yes, I can sometimes be THAT indecisive! I’ve also decided that it would be too difficult for me to put these in a definitive order of “favoritism” so I will put some of my obvious favorites towards the top and then it will just kind of get willy nilly! So, a big thank you to all of my clients! YAY! Enjoy!

But you know, I am biased. They’re all so great!!I just can’t get over what an incredible year 2008 was! I had 41 awesome couples who let me share their big days with them. A GINORMOUS THANK YOU to each and every one of you! It was my absolute pleasure to capture your day of days, and I feel truly honored you chose me to do so! I put together a slide show using some of my favorite wedding images taken in 2008. It’s a little long though, so grab a nice cup of coffee, sit back in your chair, relax, and enjoy the show.
