This behind the scenes look at me in action comes from Ann and Dean’s wedding. My friend David Lim grabbed this shot of me photographing Ann and Dean. Surprisingly, I didn’t find any ticks on me!

So, this behind the scenes installment is slightly different in that it’s not a photo of me actually shooting, but instead setting up a shot. This is one of my favorite e-session photos, and it comes from Kalpana and Jim’s session. These guys were so awesome and up for anything! The first two photos were taken by my friend Naqib, thanks buddy! And the last shot is the final image, shot by me.

This behind the scenes installment comes from Alex and Kristy’s wedding. While I was photographing Kristy and Alex, every so often Alex would flash his “hand gun” or point his finger at me. Of course I’m going to photograph that right!? Well, Kay English, who was assisting me on this wedding, grabbed this shot of the three of us. Check out my cool stance!

This behind the scenes shot comes from Sabrina and Jeff’s wedding which I photographed about a year ago. We were down in Asbury Park by the old Casino when I spotted a good sized puddle of water. I wanted to line up and photograph the bridal party so that I could nab their reflections in the puddle as well. The only way for me to do that was to get down and dirty and lay on the ground right in front of the puddle. This photograph is courtesy of my friend Elisabeth Millay. Not an overly flattering photo either, but not your fault Lis!

And here is how I saw it…

I had this cool photograph that my friend Christopher David took of me while shooting on a wedding day, and I started messing around with it a little. All of my past clients, or anyone who has worked with me before, knows that I carry a lot of Gatorade with me on wedding day. I work hard, and I get pretty thirsty, so I have to stay hydrated on those hot hectic wedding days. Wow, that just sounded like an ad didn’t it? Maybe I should try getting sponsored by Gatorade! Anyway, I decided to Photoshop in a poster for Gatorade within the photograph just for laughs. I even took out the Gatorade lightning bolts and replaced them with my logo rings. And above the word “BRING IT” it says “LAFFLER | FIERCE“. I thought it was funny, so here it is!

By the way, here is what I was looking at.
