Krista + Matt {Key West Slide show}

Krista and Matt’s wedding in Key West Florida was SUCH a blast to photograph, and I loved how their photos turned out! So I decided to put together a little slide show so everyone could see a little more from this fantastic wedding. Thanks to Michelle Arlotta for helping me out on this one! So click on it and enjoy!

Stephanie + Joris {Post Wedding Day} Post 4 of 4

So, after Friday and Saturday’s festivities, Stephanie and Joris agreed to don their wedding attire once again for a little post wedding shoot. They must have been exhausted, but you would never know it judging by these photos and by both their enthusiasm and willingness to trudge through thick weeds, hay fields, and fluffy vineyard dirt! I loved the photos we got though and am so glad we did this. And thanks once again for following us to a gas station after the shoot, that gas light warning was starting to make me nervous! Also a big thank you for being so thoughtful towards Susan and me during our stay in Cyprus. You guys are the best! I hope you guys enjoy and relax on your much deserved honeymoon to Seychelles and Dubai! Congratulations!

Stephanie + Joris {Bus Tour/Reception} Post 3 of 4

For those of you following along, this is post 3 of 4 for Stephanie and Joris’ Cyprus wedding. This morning we met up at the GORGEOUS Aphrodite Hills, which is also where the reception would be held later that evening. After breakfast, most of Stephanie and Joris’ out of town guests took a guided bus tour which led us to several interesting locations. Once the bus tour concluded, we had a few hours of down time. Well, except for Stephanie and Joris, who had to do some last minute seating re-arrangements, among other things! Cocktail hour was beautiful, which was held outside just after sunset. The reception was very festive with some traditional Greek dancers putting on a spectacular show, and eventually getting all the guests to join along. This crowd came to party too, lasting until the wee hours of morning! Stay tuned for the final blog installment coming soon, I’ve got some real eye candy coming your way!

This is just one of the many spectacular views from Aphrodite Hills.

And on to our bus tour!

First stop!

I saw this tree while heading back to the bus and just HAD to get a shot of Stephanie and Joris!

I grabbed this right before cocktail hour started.

I loved this cake! A nod to Joris’ original homeland, Holland.

Can you see a tiny little Stephanie and Joris in that glass?

A great speech by Stephanie’s dad.

I love this shot of Joris with his Grandfather!

Stephanie + Joris {Ceremony/LONG Recieving Line} Post 2 of 4

So, this is post 2 of 4 in relation to Stephanie and Joris’ wedding in Cyprus. I started out over at Stephanie’s parents house for the bridal prep. Stephanie’s parents were such gracious hosts, and they were super cute together too! My good vibe radar kicked in instantly! Once ready, we headed over to the gorgeous church, Saint John’s Cathedral. It was built in 1662, and while it was fairly small, it was jam packed with beautiful frescoes, and also serves as the official state church. It was at this point that my lovely wife, Susan, made her professional photographer debut as well! I stationed her up in the balcony with a wide angle lens, and she went to town! There are actually 4 photos in this blog post that were taken by her. Yay Susan! The ceremony was beautiful, although it was all Greek to me! Sorry, I just had to. After the ceremony we went back to Stephanie’s parent’s house for the VERY long receiving line. If memory serves me correctly, there were about 600 people coming through to greet Stephanie and Joris and their parents. And Stephanie did all of this while still wearing her heels!!! The backyard was just gorgeous and the perfect space for an elegant evening. Stay tuned for the next post, which will cover the next days bus tour and reception.

I loved this Save the Date card, very clever! I put it on my camera bag just to complete the theme!

When I got done photographing Stephanie’s dress, I noticed its reflection in the piano, as well as a wedding photo from Stephanie’s parents wedding sitting on top of the piano.

Being a didgeridoo player, I just had to photograph Stephanie in front of some traditional Aboriginal artwork that was hanging up.

Here is a shot of the ceiling at Saint John’s Cathedral.

The approach to the receiving line…

…and the line itself which lasted for a few hours!

I’m not sure what the story is behind this shot, I just thought it was funny! Photo by Susan.

Krista + Matt

We just got back from Krista and Matt’s Key West wedding, and let me tell you, it was SOOO much fun to photograph! Key West is a phenomenal location for a laid back, beachy, fun wedding. I could seriously get used to working in linen pants and my slip on Vans! Krista and Matt were so easy to work with, that it barely felt like work at all! They even donned their wedding attire the next day for a few hours so we could get some more shots of them at different locations. YAY! I had a difficult time selecting images for the blog, and in the end just decided to post most of my picks. This may be a record number of photos in one post! Krista and Matt’s wedding took place at the gorgeous Casa Marina in Key West Florida. Congratulations you two!

I shot Krista’s ring on top of the Key West Newspaper, The Citizen, hence the ZEN.

There were monkeys everywhere! Not real monkeys, although there seemed to be a lot of wild roosters roaming the island.

Krista and Matt decided to see one another before the ceremony.

Matt likes!

My third and fourth photographers hard at work!

One of the ring barers decides to use the ring pillow for sleeping!

This is probably the only photo where I don’t mind there being an EXIT sign it it.

A little well deserved R&R before cocktail hour.

The next several photos were taken the following day after the wedding.

Does anyone remember the Nestea Plunge?

This last shot was actually taken during the reception the night before, but I liked it so much I thought I would end with this one.
