I’m not even going to mention that it rained a little on Lindsey + Mike’s wedding day because it’s a totally moot point! I knew pretty much within minutes that it was going to be a fun day when I first met Lindsey’s dad! So, when I arrive at a prep location I usually spend some time scouting out the space, in this case Lindsey’s parent’s house. So, her dad notices me walking around all the rooms, inspecting them, looking them up and down, and he then asks me if I do house appraisals too?! Fast forward about seven hours later, and her dad is TEARING up the dance floor! It was such a fun crowd that I couldn’t help but load up this blog posts with the goings on on the dance floor! I think you will actually experience the fun yourself after looking at them. Lindsey and Mike…thank you SO much for being SO great to photograph, you guys were troopers in the rain for sure! Congratulations!

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedYes, I do take some traditional portraits too! Ha!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedKnow why I love this photo so much? Because it was taken during their first dance, no one asked them to kiss like this!undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

    Hey Babe-
This is by far my favorite shoot you have done. I think it personifies you as a photographer. I love how you were able to capture the vibrancy and simplicity of the surroundings and how that seems to echo the vibrancy and fun dynamic that is going on between Kenny and Christine. Yummy 1940’s vibe!

This public comment is long overdue. I am so incredible proud of the photographer that you are. I know all the hard work that you put into getting this far- all worth it.

    All my love,

What do you get when you mix an AMAZINGLY fun couple, plus one of my favorite venues to work at, The Crossed Keys Inn, a gorgeous day, lots of time to work with my couple, one of the funniest bridesmaids I’ve ever met, a genuine and fun loving group of family and friends who love to party? Well, you get THIS…

  • Amber - ok so do tell.. do you carry a ladder with you everywhere? they shots in the reception are amazing!! I seem to get the families that love to sit on their buts rather than dance!! I so envy you !! thanks for the inspiration again and again!! I could comment on every image, you amaze me.

  • pamela - totally ditto Amber + I want to know how many pairs of eyes do you have?!! And do you mind sharing what lens you used during the reception? I feel like I just got to attend the most fun wedding ever…you’re ability to catch so many one of a kind shots is amazing!!

  • Meghan and Stephen - Thanks for putting up with our crazy (but fun) families! We LOVE the pictures!

  • kat forsyth - I kind of want to have this wedding for my very own. Also, I want to be BFFs with Meghan and Stephen, because they are clearly full of awesome!

  • Todd Laffler - Thanks so much everybody! Amber, I actually do try to always have a lightweight ladder with me as much as possible throughout the wedding day. Although I don’t use it for the reception shots, those are done just by sticking the camera over my head and firing down. Pamela, I just have one pair of eyes, so I have to make up for that deficit by having good instincts as well. 🙂 As for my reception lens, it’s usually either my 85mm 1.2 or my 16-35mm.

Meghan, it was my ABSOLUTE pleasure, you guys were all so awesome!

  • Brian Kraft - Ridic!

  • Hanah - Long time follower, first time commenter! Seriously these images are truly amazing! You don’t just take pictures; you freeze moments! Would you ever be open to shooting in California?? I’m not getting married yet… but I will one day!

Photographing this wedding felt like I was just hanging out with old friends! Oh wait a minute, that’s because I WAS hanging out with some old friends! It goes back to my college roommate and eventual best man at my wedding, Nick, who was Kevin’s friend since forever. So, through Nick I got to know Kevin as well. He’s quite an interesting character! Laura and Kevin were such a dream to photograph, and the day was absolutely perfect too. I had SUCH a blast documenting their day of days, it barely felt like work! Such an awesome group! They got married at the lovely Laurita Winery in New Jersey. Congratulations guys!
