I can not tell a lie, Kim and Mike’s wedding was on a hot day! We managed to do what we could outside, but eventually we were defeated by the heat! But heat aside, Kim and Mike still had an amazing day surrounded by good friends and family to help them celebrate. I had a great time hanging out with you guys, and thank you so much for the opportunity to document your wedding for you! Congratulations!

Yes, more teasers! I’m sorry for all the teasers blog fans, July has been unusually busy for me. The good news is that I have a little time off in August where I hope to catch up on blogging. I have TONS of stuff to show, so hang in there! For now though, check out a few teasers from Shannon + Nick’s SCORCHING hot wedding this past Saturday. I must say, even through knee buckling heat, and neck biting bugs, neither of them complained one iota! I LOVE my couples, thanks guys! True troopers!
Not too long ago I blogged Krystyna + Chris’ wedding photos. Well, they also decided to do a day after session as well. It’s kind of like an engagement session of sorts, except you are married and wearing much fancier clothes (wedding attire). I don’t do too many of these, but it’s one of my favorite types of photo shoots because we don’t have any time constraints like we do on the wedding day. Not to mention we have a choice on shooting location and the exact time of day we want to do it! Win win! We spent half the day in Pompton Lakes doing some more “hardscape” photos and then traveled down the road from my house here in Califon to a local park. I had such an awesome time hanging out with Krystyna and Chris again, and I am really proud of this set of images! I wish more bride’s and groom’s wanted to do this sort of thing!
I had the pleasure of mentoring fellow photographer Dean a few weeks ago. Dean approached me looking to shake up the way he photographed weddings. We spent some time talking a little about his business, and critiquing some of his work. Then we headed out with one of my future wedding clients, Danielle and John, who of course, were so much fun to work with, thanks guys! I showed Dean how I approach a shoot overall, and also my thought process while looking for and setting up specific shots. Thanks Dean, I hope you really turn the corner with your photography! Here are a few shots from our session together.
