A few from Kim and Mike’s wedding this past Sunday. Stay tuned!
Erlene (pronounced like Merlin except without the M) and Anthony got married at Tappan Hill Mansion in NY. Nothing really out of the ordinary about that, but I thought it was a strange coincidence that I have never photographed there before and then I photographed Erlene and Anthony’s wedding there on Friday night, and guess where my wedding was on Saturday night? Yep, Tappan Hill Mansion. Freaky! Erlene and Anthony had a great day for their wedding! I loved the fact that they were up for trekking over to some large heavy duty construction equipment for a few photos too! Almost all my couples are up for just about anything! Yay for me, yay for them! It was a fun filled day and Erlene and Anthony were a dream to work with, thank you guys, and congratulations to you both!
I’m so incredibly honored to have been asked to speak at the 2011 Foundation Conference this coming November in New Orleans. The lineup of speakers is amazing, and although this will be my first time going to the conference myself, I have a good feeling that they will be doing things a little differently. I love this quote from Ed Atrero about a past conference;
“It’s a chance to hang and talk shop with the badasses of our industry. R.W.A. Rockstars Without Attitude. There’s no BS peddling of products by the speakers. Presenters are slangin the straight dope.“

I had photographed Kayla’s Bat Mitzvah the other week, and instead of doing a more traditional Temple photo session, the Derman’s decided to do a much more informal (real) session at their house. I LOVED it! We just hung out at their house for a few hours and let them be themselves. Of course I had to set up a few shots but I think the overall result is SO much more THEM than any photographs taken of them all dressed up in a Temple. Guys, I seriously enjoyed hanging out with the whole clan, you guys are an AWESOME family!!!!
